Dr. Veerappa was born and brought up in India. He finished both medical school and residency in general surgery there. He went on to be trained in oncology for a couple of years before moving here to be with his wife, Anu, who is a dentist in Modesto. He underwent training in family practice at Stanislaus Residency Program in Modesto before joining Family Health Care Medical Group. He is an avid sportsman and played the game of cricket throughout his school and college years. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, Anu and son, Surya.
